Am\u00e9rica del Sur ha registrado un crecimiento del 1.4% en sus exportaciones, consolid\u00e1ndose como una regi\u00f3n en crecimiento para el comercio internacional, con China como su principal socio comercial (World Trade Organization, 2023; Comisi\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica para Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe, 2023).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;\">En octubre de 2024, el Megapuerto de Chancay iniciar\u00e1 operaciones, marcando un hito clave para el comercio entre Sudam\u00e9rica y Asia, especialmente con China. Este proyecto se proyecta como un motor crucial para el crecimiento econ\u00f3mico del Per\u00fa, aportando un estimado de 0.2 puntos al Producto Bruto Interno (PBI) anual del pa\u00eds (El Peruano, 2023).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;\">Se espera que el Megapuerto de Chancay sea fundamental para el comercio eficiente entre ambas regiones, con una reducci\u00f3n significativa en los tiempos de tr\u00e1nsito de mercanc\u00edas entre 25 y 28 d\u00edas, comparado con los actuales 40 d\u00edas, y una estimada disminuci\u00f3n del 15% en los costos log\u00edsticos para las empresas (El Peruano, 2023). Este proyecto, con previsiones de iniciar operaciones en octubre del presente a\u00f1o, facilitar\u00e1 un mayor volumen de ingreso y salida de mercader\u00eda en la regi\u00f3n sur del continente.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;\">La gesti\u00f3n eficiente de los derechos de propiedad intelectual se beneficiar\u00e1 con esta nueva infraestructura al concentrar el ingreso y salida de mercader\u00eda en un solo punto. Este enfoque estrat\u00e9gico permitir\u00e1 retener un mayor volumen de mercader\u00eda infractora al momento de su ingreso al pa\u00eds, mejorando significativamente la protecci\u00f3n de los derechos de propiedad intelectual en Sudam\u00e9rica.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt; color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">En este marco, la infraestructura no solo consolida los lazos comerciales entre Sudam\u00e9rica y Asia, sino que tambi\u00e9n se presenta como una herramienta efectiva para salvaguardar los derechos de propiedad intelectual, particularmente en lo que concierne a las infracciones de marca en toda la regi\u00f3n. This project is projected to be a pivotal driver for Peru&#8217;s economic growth, contributing an estimated 0.2 points to the country&#8217;s annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) (El Peruano, 2023).<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;\">The Chancay Megaport is expected to play a crucial role in efficient trade between both regions, with a substantial reduction in transit times for goods from 25 to 28 days, compared to the current 40 days, and an estimated 15% decrease in logistical costs for businesses (El Peruano, 2023). This project, slated to commence operations in October of the current year, will facilitate increased inbound and outbound merchandise flow in the southern region of the continent.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;\">The efficient management of intellectual property rights will benefit from this new infrastructure by consolidating the entry and exit of goods at a single point. <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif;\">This strategic approach will enable the retention of a larger volume of infringing merchandise upon entry into the country, significantly enhancing the protection of intellectual property rights in South America.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 12pt; color: var( --e-global-color-text );\">Within this framework, the infrastructure not only strengthens trade ties between South America and Asia but also emerges as an effective tool for safeguarding intellectual property rights, particularly concerning trademark infringements throughout the region.
